Lunch
We offer three lunch choices at Oakwood. A monthly lunch menu will be sent home at the beginning of each month. Your child will let their teacher know each morning if they brought a lunch from home or if they will be ordering one from school. The teacher will then place the order with our kitchen staff.
If you need to drop lunch off for your student after school starts, you may come to entrance 20 and the secretaries will buzz you in through the first door. We ask that you leave the items on the table inside the door with your students name and teacher. We will then bring the items to their classroom.
Lunch and Recess
Beginning this school year, we extended our lunch times to 25 minutes. Students will receive two 15 minute recesses throughout the day. One recess will directly follow lunch and the other recess will be provided at the teacher's discretion.
Students will have the option to purchase a hot lunch or bring in a "home lunch." Please visit the RevTrak site to add funds to your child's account for hot lunch meals.
- Kinder Lunch/Recess Period 1 - 10:50 -11:30 a.m.
- Kinder Lunch/Recess Period 2 - 11:15 -11:40 a.m.
- 1st-Grade Lunch/Recess Period 1 - 11:40 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.
- 1st-Grade Lunch/Recess Period 2 - 12:05 - 12:45 p.m.
Oakwood Snack Time
If you choose to send a snack with your child to Oakwood, you may do so. However, it MUST be a fresh fruit or vegetable. If a fresh fruit or vegetable is not sent to school, the snack will not be given to your child. This is not mandatory or expected. It is optional. Please make sure you send utensils with your child if their snack requires one.
