Attendance Information

As we continue to focus on providing the best learning experiences for our students, we want to highlight the critical role that regular school attendance plays in their academic success.

Research has consistently shown that consistent attendance is directly linked to better student outcomes, and missing school can significantly impact a child’s ability to thrive academically.

In today’s educational landscape, student attendance is being studied more closely than ever before. Simply put, missed school days equate to missed learning opportunities, and even the most dedicated teachers are limited in their ability to help students succeed when they are not present in class.

We will continue to send attendance letters to families to keep you up to date if your student has more than 5 or more than 10 absences. We are here to support our families.

Reporting an Absence:

To report an absence you can call 630-243-3011 and press “one” from the main greeting.

You can also directly report an absence via Skyward online. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to submit an absence in Skyward:

  1. Log into Your Skyward Account
  2. Navigate to the Attendance Section
  3. Select Attendance Requests
  4. Add an Absence Request
  5. Choose the Date of the Absence
  6. Provide a Reason for the Absence
  7. Save Your Request

Bonus Tip: If you have siblings in the district, you can select multiple students for absences instead of entering each child's absence separately.
